Port Forwarding is used to transfer information from your router directly to your computer or DVR through Ports. Only make these changes to the Router that your Digital Video Recorder is connected to. You may have to contact your Internet Service Provider for this information. If you can not log in to the router, you will not be able to complete this setup. Make sure to get the username and passwords for any router you may have. If it is a modem, then you should be fine just configuring your router that's connected to it. Find out what equipment you are using from the Internet Service Provider.This is very important if you want to connect to your DVR remotely. My DVR is a 16 channel EyeOnet 5216AH (Duah I think) and I really like its recording and setup features BUT the live viewer software is really bad.
